7 things noticed from Arsenal training as Alexis Sanchez nears Gunners exit

Sixth-placed Arsenal travel to Bournemouth on Sunday as they bid to pick up three vital points in their race to make it into the top four.

The Gunners come into the game following their 0-0 Carabao Cup draw with Chelsea on Wednesday.

Prior to the Stamford Bridge clash, Arsenal lost to Nottinham Forest 4-2 and were knocked out of the FA Cup third round.

And with speculation surrounding Alexis Sanchez’s future at its highest, a win would provide a useful distraction for Arsene Wenger’s side.

The Frenchman’s squad trained on Saturday, here are seven things we noticed…

Jack’s good to go!

When Jack Wilshere hobbled off against Chelsea on Wednesday Gunners fans feared the worst. Thankfully his injury wasn’t as bad as first feared. Following a successful training session he’s made the squad for Sunday’s south coast trip.

Ramsey returns

Aaron Ramsey has returned to Arsenal training after spending more than a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

The Welshman provides Wenger with a useful option in midfield.

As Per usual

The German defender had a torrid time against Nottingham Forest and it appears he’s not having the best time in training either.

Per Mertesacker seems to be blowing a little early on in the session.

Alexis Sanchez’s future is up in the air and Wenger appears to be keeping a close eye on the Chilean.

Maybe the Arsenal boss’s close man management can convince the attacker to stay.

A wave goodbye?

With both Manchester City and United keen on recruiting Sanchez, the Chilean has a choice to make.

Is this little wave to the cameraman one to say goodbye?

“I can stay?!”

Thumbs up: Theo Walcott

Theo Walcott is another who has been linked with a move away, namely to Everton and Southampton.

The 28-year-old gives a quick thumbs up as if he’s been told he can stay.

Settling in…

Arsene Wenger changed his mind over Konstantinos Mavropanos. The Cypriot, who signed for the club in the January transfer window, was originally supposed to be shipped out on loan.

However, the Gunners boss has changed his mind. The 20-year-old appears to be settling into his new club just fine.
