A boy of just TWELVE was found with heroin, a wad of cash and a large knife, police said.
The lad, who was also carrying two mobile phones, was arrested on suspicion of selling the deadly Class A drug in Basildon, Essex.
The youngster allegedly fled when spotted by officers, who were searching for him in connection with other crimes.
Crime Scene Investigation officer Vikki Jones took to Twitter to share images of the shocking haul after arresting the youth on Monday.
She said: “Found in possession of this lot.
“Pretty sure he wasn’t popping to the shops for lunch…. #onlycowardscarry.”
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “A 12-year-old boy from Basildon was arrested on Monday, January 8 in the Ashlyns area.
“He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs, possession of a knife and breach of bail conditions.
“He was later released under investigation.”
