Helen Lederer, who took part in last year’s series, has hinted that the Channel 5 reality series is “stage-managed” by producers, who decide to show more of one celebrity than others.
Speaking about who she thinks will be crowned this series’ winner, she explained: “That’s always a surprise.
“Sometimes it just depends what Big Brother shows, because once they start doing more and more tasks and dividing people up – those behaviours cause rifts and the alliances, its not just these individuals.
“These individuals are in the hands of Big Brother management so it could change.”
The 63-year-old went on to reveal why she believed Sarah Harding became the nation’s favourite last year.
“It just depends who goes in there with what fanbase,” she divulged to Daily Star Online. “Obviously she had a fanbase who championed her.
“It’s very intense when you’re in there. Sarah had a huge fan base and she had lots of really nice clothes.”
“She looked good and she did well with her clothes and make-up,” Helen added.
“Once you’re a couple, people naturally don’t want to intrude,” she explained.
“There’s nothing wrong with coupling up but once you do the whole dynamic of the group changes. Small things become big things and you just enjoy messing about with someone.
“But sooner than later, those are the conditions that are going to make people behave in a way that you wouldn’t.”
Last night, Ashley and Ginuwine shared a quick kiss despite the Made in Chelsea star insisting she didn’t want a house romance.
The 30-year-old told Big Brother: “I’m enjoying flirting with him yes.
“There’s obviously a connection between us, but that could just be friendship.”
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight on Channel 5 at 9pm.
