The family of a Guardsman missing from his barracks near Buckingham Palace say they are ‘very concerned’ about his mysterious disappearance .
Dean Rudman has not been seen since leaving an All Bar One pub in Waterloo on Tuesday night – and his disappearance is said to completely ‘out of character’.
Detectives leading the investigation say the 29-year-old could have gone missing with a woman, who is described as having ‘slim with long highlighted hair’.
Mr Rudman is a Guardsman with the Scots Guards and usually based at Wellington Barracks in Westminster.
He is white of a slim build with dark hair and a moustache and was last seen wearing dark trousers and a dark jacket, detectives said.
Police believe that after leaving the pub at about 9.40pm he got on a train to Guildford, Surrey.
Mr Rudman is believed to have links to Canterbury and Durham.
The Guardsman are based in barracks conveniently close to Buckingham Palace for them to be able to reach the palace very quickly in an emergency.
Three companies are based at Mr Rudman’s Wellington Barracks, about 300 yards from the Queen’s London.
