…but Bale insists he won’t join Man United this summer
The Wales superstar closed the door on a potential return to England after admitting he is determined to win even more trophies with Madrid.
It comes after Bale lifted his third Champions League trophy in four years since his move to Spain after becoming one of Britain’s most successful footballers of all time.
Bale said: “I am happy here at Madrid. We are winning trophies and I am happy.
“It’s three (Champions League) trophies in four years, not many people can say that. It’s great to be doing that and I want it to continue.
“I have signed a long term contract at Madrid. My family is happy and I am happy so yeah we will continue what we are doing.”
Griezmann confirms he will stay at Atletico…for now
Manchester United’s hopes of signing the France star have been hit by a transfer ban on the Spanish club.
Griezmann told French TV show Telefoot: “I have said all season I have said that I felt good and I wanted to stay. Now the transfer embargo has been imposed.
“With the directors of the club, we have decided to stay. There is still a beautiful season to be done and we hope to get some new signings in January.
“It is a difficult moment for the club, for the players, and it would not be right to leave now. I have spoken with the directors.

Did Fergie hint at Benzema switch to Man United?
Sir Alex Ferguson has a busy evening at the Champions League final.
The former Manchester United manager didn’t just sit and watch Real Madrid’s 4-1 win against Juventus from the posh seats in Cardiff.
Before the game, he interrupted a live Italian broadcast to say hello to Alessandro del Piero – a player he reportedly tried to sign. After the game, he presented the official man of the match award to Cristiano Ronaldo – a player he famously did sign.
And at one point later in the evening, he had a meeting with Karim Benzema – a player Man United fans are now hoping he might be about to sign.
That is certainly what some people thoughts after seeing this tweet from the Real Madrid man:
Carrick testimonial ends in entertaining draw
Michael Carrick isn’t even hanging up his boots yet but his testimonial match on Sunday will show how much the Manchester United faithful will miss him.
The midfielder gathered a veritable cast of superstars to Old Trafford, divided into Sir Alex Ferguson’s Man United ’08 side and an All-Stars line-up led by Harry Redknapp.
Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes, Edwin van der Sar and more provided a blast from the past in a good natured kick-about.
John Terry captained the All-Stars, with Clarence Seedorf, Michael Owen and Jamie Carragher among his number.
Gaizka Mendieta scored the first for the All-Stars, cancelled out by Nemanja Vidic’s header from a pin-point Giggs cross.
Robbie Keane then made it a game with a classy finish over Van der Sar’s head.
And commentator Sam Matterface said you couldn’t write it, but really you could. It’s exactly how you’d write it.
The ball sits up for Carrick himself on the edge of the box and his right-footed drive rockets into the back of the net off the post.
