Tom Cruise performs dangerous stunt across the Thames for Mission: Impossible 6

Performing a dangerous stunt would be a mission impossible for many stars but not for ageing action man Tom Cruise .

Cruise, 55, found a platform for his talent by sprinting across a rail station roof over the London’s River Thames.

A helicopter filmed him dressed in black dashing over the top of Blackfriars station in front of St Paul’s for Mission: Impossible 6.

Nearby road and river traffic was halted as Cruise braved icy weather for the hair-raising sequence, filmed near where he broke his ankle in August leaping between buildings for a stunt in the blockbuster.

But he was back on first class form as Ethan Hunt.

Beneath him train passengers were using the station as normal. They were unaware one of the world’s most celebrated action stars was above them being filmed, presumably, in a tracking shot.
